Thriving at Workಮಾದರಿ

Work as unto the Lord and not unto man.
Assuming you can see God visibly with you as you work, will you do the work well or shabbily? You will probably think that once the Majesty is with me, I cannot do this work sleazily. Well, what if I told you that God is always with you, even though you can’t see Him? Yes, that’s what the Bible says (see Isaiah 41:10). So, because of this truth, you must be aware that you have a constant supervisor with you wherever you go and in whatever you do. Now, transferring this mindset to work, you’ve got to work as unto the Lord, even if it is a human who has employed you.
There is something about several employees’ approach to work. Some of them pretend to do the job for which they have been employed only when their employers are around. And over time, it breaks the productivity culture, reduces people’s commitment to the work and creates room for people to complain and talk badly about the company. But there is something to learn here. Do you think God helped you to get that job to add to their problems or to solve the problem for which they hired you? The latter is correct. The salary they negotiated with cannot be your worth, and no salary can do that. Why? Because God values your life higher than any amount of money. So you cannot allow salary caps or people’s bad behavior (including your boss) to affect the quality of work you deliver.
There is something I have personally learned from God. When He sees the work you do is highly above the level of where you are now, He steps in to promote you, either within the same company or opens a door to a higher role in another company. He is in charge of that, and yours is to work effectively as if you are doing it unto Him.
