CONFIDENCE IN HIS FAITHFULNESS

One of the greatest pillars for answered prayer is God’s faithfulness. The Bible says, “If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself” (2 Timothy 2:13). That means even when you wobble in faith, God does not wobble in His nature. He remains faithful to His word, not because of you, but because of Himself. This is why your confidence in prayer must be built on His faithfulness and not on the strength of your emotions or performance.

Sarah received strength to conceive when she “judged him faithful who had promised” (Hebrews 11:11). She had gone past the age of childbearing, yet she anchored her confidence in God’s faithfulness, and the impossible became possible. Many people shift their confidence to their faith, zeal, or fasting. While these are good, they are not the foundation. The faithfulness of God is the guarantee that His word will not fail. If He has spoken, He will bring it to pass. When you understand this, your heart becomes steady even when circumstances shake.

Therefore, learn to rest in His faithfulness. Hold fast to His promises, because “He is faithful that promised” (Hebrews 10:23). Don’t let the devil rob you by making you doubt when answers seem delayed. Stand firm. God has never failed, and He will not start with you. Build your confidence in His character; that is what secures your prayers.

THOUGHT TO PONDER:
Am I judging God by my circumstances or by His faithfulness? Do I rest in His unchanging nature when answers delay?

PRAYER:
Lord, I choose to anchor my confidence in Your faithfulness. Strengthen me to hold fast to Your promises without wavering. Amen.
