"Awake-in-Him" Awakening to the Reality of Jesusಮಾದರಿ

AWAKEN TO YOUR AUTHORITY
How do you know you’re not dreaming right now?” It’s unsettling, but it’s also spiritual. Many of us go through life half-asleep to who God is and who we are in Him. When we awaken to Jesus, we also awaken to the authority He has given us.
1. AUTHORITY FLOWS FROM IDENTITY
In 2 Chronicles 29, King Hezekiah inherited a nation wrecked by idolatry. His father had shut the temple doors and led Judah away from God. But the moment Hezekiah’s identity as king was activated, everything shifted. In the very first month of his reign, he reopened the temple, restored worship, and called his people back to God.
Authority begins with identity. Scripture says: “You are no longer a slave, but God’s child… and since you are His child, God has made you also an heir” (Galatians 4:7). We cannot walk in authority while living under false identities of fear, shame, or failure.
Practice: Remind yourself daily: “I am God’s child. I am His heir.” Let your authority flow from your identity.
2. AUTHORITY CREATES ACCESS
Hezekiah didn’t stop with his own people. He sent an invitation across divided and hostile tribes: “Return to the Lord… He will not turn His face from you if you return to Him” (2 Chronicles 30:6, 9). His authority was not about control but about creating access to God’s presence.
That is what Jesus calls us to as His ambassadors. He said: “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:18–19). Authority is not about being welcomed but about becoming the welcomer.
Practice: Look around this week and ask: “Who else needs to know they belong here?”
3. AUTHORITY MULTIPLIES THROUGH JESUS
The same authority that shifted a nation under one king has now been multiplied to every believer through Christ. We carry not just positional authority as God’s children but functional authority to represent Him, invite others in, and intercede for His Kingdom wherever we go.
When we awaken to our authority, we stop asking: “Do I belong here?” and start asking: “Who else needs to know they belong here?”
Practice: Step into one space this week—your workplace, school, or neighborhood—with the confidence that you carry Kingdom authority.
The authority of Jesus is alive in us today. The question is not whether we have it but whether we are awake to it.
So here’s the challenge: Are we still dreaming under false identities, or are we walking awake in the authority He has given us?
