Following God’s Will Wherever You Are

Where has God placed you today? It might be a buzzing workplace, a lecture hall, a noisy home, a quiet retirement village, or doing a job you never imagined doing. It might feel like a perfect fit – or a poor one. But wherever you are, you’re not there by accident. Scripture is clear: God is at work in that very place, and He invites you to join Him.

To follow His will is to say yes to His purposes here and now – not once things change, or when life feels more meaningful, but today. The prayer ‘May your Kingdom come, may your will be done’ isn’t just for Sunday services; it’s for office kitchens, school corridors, checkout queues, and family dinners. So instead of asking, ‘God, why am I here?’ perhaps the better question is, ‘How can I serve You here?’

When we faithfully follow God’s leading instead of fighting it, the most ordinary places become sacred ground.

Prayer:

Lord, whatever the season right now, help me to follow Your will. Help me to see Your Kingdom coming in every room, every conversation, and every challenge I’m faced with – and help me to join in with what You’re doing. I believe that You are working in this place right now, and that I can trust You with all the uncertainties and in-betweens. Amen.
