Anchored in His Strengthಮಾದರಿ

Strengthened with All Power
“[We pray] that you may be invigorated and strengthened with all power according to the might of His glory, [to exercise] every kind of endurance and patience (perseverance and forbearance) with joy,” — Colossians 1:11 AMPC
Have you ever tried to “power through” on your own only to find yourself drained and discouraged? Paul’s prayer for the church in Colossae reminds us that true endurance and patience do not come from within—they come from God’s glorious might.
Notice the language Paul uses: invigorated… strengthened… with all power. This isn’t a partial help or a small boost—it’s the fullness of God’s strength poured into our lives. His strength equips us not only to endure, but to endure with joy.
That combination is supernatural. Endurance without joy feels like surviving. Joy without endurance is shallow and short-lived. But when God strengthens us, He gives us both—the ability to press on and the gladness to keep going.
Think of your spiritual life like a phone battery. Being near a charger won’t help unless you’re plugged in. The same is true for us. We need to stay connected to Christ, our true source of power. That connection is maintained through prayer, Scripture, worship, and dependence on the Spirit.
When we are strengthened in Him, our perspective shifts. Difficult people become opportunities to practice patience. Long seasons of waiting become training grounds for perseverance. And through it all, joy steadies our hearts.
Reflection Question:
Where in your life do you need God’s strength to turn mere survival into endurance with joy?
