Grief Survivor: 30 Steps Toward Hope and Healing ಮಾದರಿ

MORE QUESTIONS THAN ANSWERS?
Will I always miss my loved one? Probably so. But hopefully, over time, the deep ache will become more bearable, and memories of the person you're missing will become gentle reminders of the impact they made in your life. Embrace it. It's OK to always miss them.
Why are people rushing me? People, especially those who have never lost someone close, may make insensitive comments about how long your mourning is lasting. If someone is in a hurry for you to "be yourself again," remember they did not have your relationship with the person you're grieving.Take as long as you need.
What about closure? One grief expert puts it this way, "Closure is for bank accounts. not love accounts." The purpose of grief is not to "get over it," but to get through the valley, and move toward healing and a full life that you love again.
Reflect: However you're feeling today is OK. Joyful? Anxious? Weary? Sad? Happy? All OK. Take a few moments and write honestly about how you're doing today. On the days when you don't know how you are feeling, and don't know what or how to pray... whisper the name of Jesus. He understands. He's closer than your next breath. He loves you more than you know. He's the One who can heal your broken heart.
