Day 23: Carry Your Cross

Reflection: For a long time, there was a massive gap between the man I was on Sunday and the man I was in a Tuesday afternoon business meeting.

I’ll never forget one particular meeting. An associate saw a screensaver on my laptop that referenced my faith. His words wrecked me: “I didn’t know you were a Christian.” For context, I had known this individual for years—and it wasn’t the fruit of my life that made him notice my faith. It was a picture on a screen.

That moment hit me hard. The truth? I hadn’t fully embraced what it meant to follow Jesus daily. At that time, I rarely opened my Bible outside of Sunday church, and honestly, from what I saw around me, that seemed normal.

But I knew something had to change. That wake-up call started my discipleship journey—one I now fully embrace. Today, I walk into meetings looking for where the Spirit is leading. I see every interaction as an opportunity to advance the Kingdom—if I simply invite Him in and listen.

Here’s the reality for a battle-ready man: following Jesus isn’t a weekend hobby—it’s a daily surrender. If the enemy has convinced you otherwise, that lie needs to die today. Every single day God gives you is another chance to pick up your cross and pursue Him with everything you’ve got.

Mission: Carrying your cross is not occasional—it’s daily. Do whatever it takes to remind yourself of that truth and stay diligent in pursuing Him with all your heart.

Field Order: Get practical. Bring your Bible to work. Pray before meetings. Ask God to guide your career. Start where you’ve kept Him at arm’s length—that’s where course correction needs to begin.
