What Do I Eat and Drink?

How many choices will you have to make today? Did you know that we make upwards of 35,000 decisions each day, and 200 decisions are just about food! Sometimes, these choices may cause us to worry, depending on the circumstances we are facing.

The Bible teaches that we should not worry because God is in control and cares deeply for us. In Matthew 6:25–34, Jesus encourages His followers not to be anxious about their lives—what they will eat, drink, or wear—because God, who provides for the birds of the air and the flowers of the field, will surely provide for His children. Jesus reminds us that worrying cannot add a single hour to our lives and urges us to seek first the kingdom of God, trusting that all our needs will be met.

Philippians 4:6–7 further reinforces this message by instructing believers to present their requests to God through prayer and thanksgiving instead of being anxious. In return, God promises a peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. This peace is not based on external circumstances but on the assurance that God is present, faithful, and working for our good—even when we cannot see the outcome.

We have seen that when there is worry in one’s life, it can deplete important nutrients from their body. Today, instead of worrying, give all of your yokes to the Lord. We recommend eating food that is God-made, not human-made. Keep it pure and simple. Begin your day with one-half of a red apple, with two teaspoons of organic almond butter, and a poached egg. Be blessed today- ask the Lord to enlarge your capacity to create and enjoy the full spectrum of foods He created for us to enjoy.
