Why I Believeಮಾದರಿ

No. 3 – I trust the character of God
A careful study of God's character reveals that, upon comparing the revelations we receive from the Bible about the character and attributes of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, there are no contradictions.
Even a superficial study of researchable information about the character of God shows His complete holiness, infiniteness, flawlessness, and majestic greatness. It is unexpected that God, robed in such glory and perfection, stepped down into our lives to pour out His love on us, provide for our needs, and send His Son to die in our place so that we can have eternal life and spend eternity with Him. It is through God's character that we understand mercy, grace, goodness, forgiveness, love, acceptance, righteousness, peace, and salvation.
Any honest study, using researchable information, shows that the God of the Bible is entirely different from any other gods or divinities.
No. 4 - I believe the Bible adequately answers all the questions that people might have about the meaning of life
John 10:10 (NIV) – “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”
Isaiah 43:7 (NIV) – “Everyone who is called by my name, whom I created for my glory, whom I formed and made.”
There are roughly four questions that nearly all people ask when struggling to find answers to the meaning of life. The Bible is the only book that provides a comprehensive and coherent answer to these questions.
- People ask, "Where do I come from?" The Bible says God created us (Genesis 1:1, John 1:1-3).
- People ask, "What is my purpose in life?" God says He created us to live in relationship with Him and care for the needs of others; "we are needed" (Ephesians 2:10; Philippians 2:13).
- People ask, "Is there someone who cares for me, someone who loves me without me having to prove myself to be acceptable?" God says, "I have loved you with an everlasting love" (Jeremiah 31:3 BSB; John 3:16). He carefully created you while you were still in your mother's womb. He thinks more thoughts about you than you can imagine (Psalm 139:13-17).
- People ask, "Where will I go after I die?" God's Word is clear that there is a literal heaven where His children will be with Him forever and a literal hell where those who rejected His love and Jesus will go (Revelation 21-22; Revelation 20:11-15).
