Psalm 101 - Curating Our Attentionಮಾದರಿ

Day 5: Choosing Advisors
"My eyes will be on the faithful in the land, that they may dwell with me; the one whose walk is blameless will minister to me." (Psalm 101:6, NIV)
After describing what David won't tolerate, he describes what he will actively seek: faithful people who can help him grow in wisdom and character.
The word "minister" here means serve or help rather than religious service. David wants advisors who will help him grow, challenging him rather than flattering him.
Surround yourself with people who will challenge you toward faithfulness. Look for people committed to their own growth and integrity, and to yours.
TODAY: Thank someone who has challenged you to grow spiritually. Let them know how their faithfulness has impacted your life.
GO DEEPER: Consider: Are you the kind of person others would want as a spiritual advisor? How can you become more faithful in your relationships?
PRAYER: God, lead me to companions who will help me grow in faithfulness. Help me to be the kind of friend who encourages others toward integrity. Give me wisdom to both give and receive spiritual counsel. Amen.
