No More Mr. Nice Guy: Saying Goodbye to Doormat Christianityಮಾದರಿ

I Give You Permission
A Christian philosophy of boldness should include the believer’s rights. In fact, it would be incomplete without a list of believer’s rights.
I used to teach that a believer has no rights . . . I was wrong.
In 1 Corinthians 9:1-6 (NKJV), Paul wrote, “Am I not free? Am I not an apostle? Have I not seen Jesus our Lord? Are you not my workmanship in the Lord? If to others I am not an apostle, at least I am to you, for you are the seal of my apostleship in the Lord. This is my defense to those who would examine me. Do we not have the right to eat and drink? Do we not have the right to take along a believing wife, as do the other apostles and the brothers of the Lord and Cephas? Or is it only Barnabas and I who have no right to refrain from working for a living?”
The Old Testament law, contrary to what you may have believed, is not just a list of the obligations of God’s people; it is also a list of the rights of God’s people.
Now a Christian may or may not choose to turn over his or her rights . . . but, for God’s sake, don’t tell me that a Christian has no rights. It simply isn’t true.
What are your rights as a believer?

About this Plan

Christians need to get over our fear and become dangerous. We are called to biblical boldness as a way of life—to get back to the biblical truth of the Christian faith without the overtones of culture, tradition, and emotional needs. What is Christian boldness? What are your rights as a Christian? When we stand boldly with Christ, He stands with us. Released in celebration of Key Life's 40th Anniversary.
