Hope When It’s Heavy: Trusting God Is Good When Your Season Is Not

DAY 6 OF 7

Even Though It’s Hard…I Will Choose Hope

Healing rarely happens by accident. It’s a choice to step forward, even when it’s hard, and even when progress feels slow. Jesus asked the man by the pool, "Do you want to be healed?" What a powerful question! I think He is asking us that question still today.

Sometimes we hold onto our pain out of habit, familiarity, or fear. Sometimes we've carried it for so long that it's a part of how we define ourselves. But God is in the business of healing and redemption, and maybe He’s asking you today: Do you want to be healed? It’s not the absence of pain that gives hope, but the presence of God in the middle of it. No matter where you are in your journey, choosing to seek healing is a brave decision to partner with the work God wants to do within us. He’s given us one life and asks us to care for it well. When we are physically sick beyond what we can treat at home, we see a doctor. Sometimes our souls and minds need a doctor too. Do you feel a tug on your heart to invite a Christ-centered expert to help you along your healing path? If so, please schedule an introductory therapy appointment today. Your choice of healing can transform your future and the future of your family for generations to come.

“Therapy is wise, and I honestly do think it is holy work... When you find a good therapist whom you are willing to trust, you allow them into holy spaces. You open up your heart, reveal soul wounds, and seek healing.” (Hope When It’s Heavy, p77)

Prayer:
Jesus, I want to be healed. I want to hope again. Please give me the courage to step toward healing, even when it’s slow or feels too hard. Help me trust You to restore what has been broken. Amen.

About this Plan

Hope When It’s Heavy: Trusting God Is Good When Your Season Is Not

Hope When It’s Heavy is a 7-day devotional for anyone navigating grief, anxiety, or a season that feels too heavy to bear. If you’re unsure how to trust God right now, this plan offers honest reflection, scripture, and prayer to help you process your pain and meet with the God who sees, stays, and speaks peace. You're invited to ask hard questions and rest in the truth that God’s goodness doesn’t shift with your circumstances. Even amid the chaos, He remains steady. And even here, hope is still within reach.
