DAY 3 OF 5

Day 3

PROVISION OF SALVATION

“For God so [greatly] loved and dearly prized the world, that He [even] gave His [One and] only begotten Son, so that whoever believes and trusts in Him [as Savior] shall not perish, but have eternal life". (John 3:16).

We know the story of Abraham, the father of faith. Abraham waited so long for his son; his prayer was fulfilled, his miracle, he was everything he longed for, he was the child of his eyes (perhaps he even indulged him greatly). We can understand the humanity of the father of faith; it's as if everything you've prayed for and waited for years for, you can now see, possess, and touch. But one day God will come and say, give it to me, give it to me, sacrifice it for me, give me that offering.

Perhaps the father of faith must have asked himself many questions, but the Word says that he did not deny it to the One who could supply the offering.

And the Father already had the provision of salvation for Isaac. That ram was visible when Abraham didn't refuse but gave everything to the point of trying to do it and being stopped by God. And that's when that provision of salvation became visible.

Humanity, immersed in sin and before it was lost, was given the provision of salvation through Jesus. He, that ram that was to be sacrificed and that was to bring purification and cleansing, was going to bring that direct access to being again with the same intimacy as in the beginning. He was going to bring restoration of humanity's relationship with the Father, to return to its original essence.

Today, that provision of salvation is available to you. You don't have to sacrifice anything; you just have to receive Jesus' sacrifice. You must receive that love of the Father through Jesus.

Something the Father has sought is to restore the relationship He had with you since before eternity. By receiving and accepting that provision, He returns us to the natural state, to the original state as we always were.

What will you do now, receive it or despise it? The provision of Salvation that the Father gave us through Jesus was to restore us to our original position.
