He Is My Provisionಮಾದರಿ

Day 2
PROVISION OF FORGIVENESS
And Jesus was saying, “Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing. ”And they cast lots, dividing His clothes among themselves. (Luke 23:34).
Lack of forgiveness makes our lives cold, empty, literally dead.
For many years, I carried a guilt I shouldn't have carried. I blamed myself for my grandmother's death. When I was 10 years old, while I was taking care of her, I fell asleep and was tired. You know, I was only a 10-year-old girl.
Understanding that forgiveness was available to me was difficult. I felt like I deserved every bad thing that happened to me. I carried a guilt that wasn't mine. And we carry those chains that the world binds us with and keeps us in the void of the muddy mire. But one day, when I was persuaded by His love, the provision of forgiveness came to me from my soul and spirit. I was freed from all guilt, from all hurt, from all the past that tormented me and enslaved me to pain and bitterness.
I remember Jesus' words when I heard Psalm 27:10: "Although my father and my mother have abandoned me, Yet the Lordwill take me up [adopt me as His child]".
It was the first time I felt free from all guilt. It was a balm to my heart and soul when Jesus came as a provision of forgiveness. It was then that I smiled again for the first time after almost 10 years after that event.
When Jesus forgave me for my sins, my wickedness, my desire to destroy my life just to ease the pain in my heart, it was the most liberal thing I'd ever felt. I could feel those cords of love surrounding me and reminding me that He would receive me and comfort me. That verse became real to me.
In that Psalm of the Shepherd telling us that we shall lack nothing, it truly reminds us of Jesus' provision on the cross and the forgiveness of sins. We didn't yet know, we didn't understand that love. It was only a fulfillment of the Word written long ago by the Psalmist David when he said: If He is our Shepherd, we shall lack nothing.
Today I invite you to receive that provision, also available to you today, that forgiveness, without judgment, without condemnation. Just receive that provision from the Loving Father, telling you, "I love you so much that I gave my only Son so that you can be close to me today." No matter the mistake, the failure, the fall, just come into my arms, for I have already made provision for you with my love in my Son, Jesus.
