Names of Christ: An Advent Devotionಮಾದರಿ

The Way, The Truth, & The Life
When I was a little girl, I went to church camp. It was one of the best weeks of my young life. And this is one of the first scriptures I remember memorizing:
Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.” -John 14:6 NLT
In fact, I had a little card that I kept in my wallet that read, "Jesus is the way." You might say I was a card-carrying member of the Jesus fan club. But it was actually years later, in my late 20s, when I truly gave my heart to the Lord. After trying to do life my way, not very well, I was ready to let Jesus take the wheel. Best decision I ever made.
You know, Jesus also tells us in that verse that no one comes to the Father except through Him. Jesus, He paid the price for us—death on the cross—so that we could not only have eternal life but a relationship with God the Father now, right here on earth.
Today, I want to encourage you to not just be a card-carrying member of the Jesus fan club like I once was. Give your whole heart to the Lord because He really is the Way to the Father, the Truth that you're searching for, and the Life everlasting.
Merry Christmas!
