King & Kingdomsಮಾದರಿ

David describes God as his Rock. This is no new language for David, but something David declared many times throughout his life. What does God being a "rock" mean? The orginal word used here for "rock" does not describe some little pebble, but a large, rocky cliff or boulder. For God to be our rock means that He is strong, unchanging, unmoving and steady. David experienced this time after time throughout his life. From his own sinfulness to running for his own life many times, God proved Himself to be unchanging and faithful to David... and He continues to do that even now.
Think it Over: Where in your life have you experienced God as your Rock? Where do you need God to remind you that He is immovable and unchanging?
