Completely different

“I was one way, but now I am completely different."

After Mary meets Jesus in The Chosen, everything about her changes – the place she lives, the people she spends time with, and the choices she makes.

That is the nature of God. He delights in making things new. We see it in the verse from Isaiah, and we see it in Paul’s letter to the Corinthians: "If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come; the old has gone, the new is here."

This is not a small change – it is radical renewal. Jesus didn’t come to make people slightly better; he came to make them new. Through his death and resurrection, he opened a way for every person to experience that transformation.

God’s Word promises us in John 1:12 that if you have accepted Jesus, you have become a child of God. From that moment on, you are reborn into His family.

How special it is when you can look at your life and say, "I was one way, but now I am completely different..."

• How have you seen Jesus’ power to make things new?

Prayer

Lord, thank You for the new life you offer. Transform what is broken and make me new in your love. Amen.
