Daily Bible Reading – February 2023, "God’s Saving Word: Love"ಮಾದರಿ

February 4
Introduction
Moses reminds the people that they belong to the LORD. He tells them that the LORD will drive out the seven nations in the land the Israelites are to occupy. He reminds them of the LORD’s love and exhorts them to obey God’s laws.
Scripture Reading
Deuteronomy 7:1-11
Today’s Key Verse: Deuteronomy 7:6a
[Moses said:] You belong to the LORD your God.
Reflect
When the Israelites were preparing to occupy Canaan, they were told to defeat the people who occupied the land. Total destruction was intended to remove temptations that would cause the people to turn their backs on the LORD. Are there temptations today that cause people to turn away from God?
Pray
Sovereign God, I know that I belong to you. May I never turn away from you. When temptations come my way, give me the strength and will to remain loyal to you, trusting in your constant love and care. Amen.
Tomorrow’s Reading
Deuteronomy 7:12-26: Moses outlines the blessings of obedience to the LORD.
