Too often marriage becomes the backdrop instead of the focus. Trust us when we share that making your marriage the top spot in your life will not take away from anything else that is amazing. It will always and only intensify everything else around it. One truth that we hope you will always remember is this: if you want your marriage to be important, you must treat it like it’s important. No championship rings for second place efforts. It’s all in, all of the time. The reward will be greater than you ever imagined. There is no peace in the world like that of sharing an open, honest and transparent relationship with your spouse. When there are no secrets or hidden darkness lurking to destroy you, every day can be lived with full assurance of knowing that your 2:24 Unit is there no matter what else goes down in the job or in life. We cops don’t have the luxury of peace and consistency, but in a rock-solid marriage, it doesn’t matter what the winds dust up; our waters run deep and remain still in the worst of times. That soulful wisdom comes as a result of an intimate and intentional relationship with your spouse and faith in God. We are so proud of you for working through these 40 days to a better police marriage. Whether you went at it alone, or together, what is important is that you made the commitment to make your marriage work. One spouse praying for the other is a powerful weapon against marital chaos, so never underestimate the effectiveness of faithful prayer.
