Daniel Fast - Awakening to His Realityნიმუში

Who You Are Matters More Than What You Do
In meeting someone new, the conversation usually begins with exchanging names. Soon enough, someone asks, “What do you do?”
But rarely do we ask, “Who are you?”
Our culture trains us to define ourselves by what we do, as though our activities determine our identity. The world sees what we do— but God sees who we are.
As God’s sons and daughters:
- We are known
“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you.” — Jeremiah 1:5 (ESV) - We are His workmanship — Ephesians 2:10 (ESV)
- We are members of His household — Ephesians 2:19 (ESV)
- We are His special possession, a royal priesthood — 1 Peter 2:9 (ESV)
And that is only the beginning!
Esther: A Picture of Identity and Authority
Esther is a beautiful example of someone who understood who she was and surrendered to God’s calling on her life.
Her identity and obedience positioned her to move with heavenly authority, bringing impact to:
- her life
- her family
- her people
- and ultimately, the earth
We, the children of the Most High, are no different.
Beloved, the places God has called us to are personal and intentional.
Our Father knows us, calls us, sees us, and goes with us.
Never forget: He has given us His authority to accomplish everything He has assigned to us—in our families, ministries, communities, cities, territories, and nations.
We are not slaves to the world or to the enemy’s tactics. We are ambassadors of heaven, commissioned to bring God’s kingdom to earth.
Now is the time to be who we are called to be. Go into all the world—into your world—with His power, His might, and His authority.
Prayer of Thanksgiving
“Holy Father, Maker of Heaven and Earth, Lover of my soul, thank You for showing me how You see me. In Your name, I reject every lie and wrong belief I have held about myself, and I receive the truth of who You say I am. Help me walk and live in the authority You have given me. In Jesus’ Name—Amen.”
