Advancing God’s Kingdom in Your Territories

Story

As our family has walked with the LORD, He led us to move to a small town in North Carolina, in the United States. After arriving, God began to show us the spiritual needs of that town—areas where the enemy had a firm grip and where God wanted to establish His kingdom. We understood that God had entrusted that territory to us so that we could “put Him on display.”

One day, while going shopping, I noticed a lady sitting on a bench outside a store. She was making comments, flicking her fingers, and reacting to people as they passed. Many seemed uncomfortable walking by her. As I approached, I quietly asked the Lord about her.

When I drew closer, I could see she was talking to herself and making gestures even when no one was near. As I reached the store entrance, the Lord prompted me to stop, look at her, and ask:

“Are WE behaving today?”

She did not look up but lowered her head and muttered, “Yes, yes we are.”
I gently instructed, “Be sure to leave people alone.”
She replied, “OK,” then stood up and walked away.

I think about this moment often, especially as God has moved our family to different places. He has shown us repeatedly that He gives us authority to take ground, remove the influence of the enemy, and advance His kingdom—not only within our own lives or families, but externally in our neighborhoods, towns, cities, and nations.

Prayer

“Lord God of Heaven, Your name is power and carries ALL authority in Heaven and on Earth.
As I walk out Your calling today, open my eyes to see and my ears to hear wherever and however You want to use me.
Take me out of my comfort zone and into the places You want me to go. Put Your words in my mouth and move Your Kingdom forward in the territories You have entrusted to me.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
