Why is it important to study the Bible?
2 Timothy 2:15 calls believers to “Study to shew thyself approved unto God...” Studying Scripture is how we grow in understanding and learn to handle God’s truth correctly.
Reading gives us knowledge, but studying gives us meaning. When we study, we gain more insight into how the pieces of God’s Word connect, how His promises unfold, and how His truth applies to our daily lives.
Bible study takes effort, but it’s worth it. It builds conviction, sharpens discernment, and strengthens faith.
Set aside time each week to dig deeper. Use study tools, ask questions, and write down what God shows you. A believer who studies God’s Word will stand firm when life tests their faith.
