Why is it important to memorize God’s Word?
Psalm 119:11 urges us to "hide" God’s Word in our hearts so that we can call out Scripture during trials and temptations. Hiding God’s Word in your heart means storing it deep within your mind and memory so it’s always there when you need it.
Scripture gives you strength and wisdom to respond in faith. The verses you’ve memorized will speak to you long after you’ve closed your Bible.
Start with one verse each week. Repeat it, pray it, and live it. Over time, God’s Word will fill your thoughts and shape your actions.
