RHODA as a Guiding Star

DAY 2 OF 7

Hopeful: Holding on to Faith and Belief in God’s Promises!

Key Texts
Acts 12:14-15 (Rhoda's hopeful declaration about Peter at the door)
Hebrews 11:1: "Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see."
2 Kings 5:3 (The Israelite girl's hope for Naaman's healing)

Discussion:
• Despite the skepticism around her, Rhoda remained hopeful and believed that Peter was at the door, even before it was confirmed.

• The Israelite girl in 2 Kings 5 had unwavering hope for Naaman's healing, showing how hope can catalyze action even in difficult circumstances.

Discussion Questions:

1. In what areas of your life do you need to remain hopeful, even when others around you may not see the possibilities?

Application: Write down an area of your life where you need to trust God more and ask for His help in maintaining hope.

Other Servant:

The Israelite Girl Who Served Naaman's Wife (2 Kings 5:1-14)

Role: Servant girl
• Key Verse: : ..If only my master would see the prophet who is in Samaria!

He would cure him of his leprosy....(2 Kings 5:3)

Significance:

This young Israelite girl, taken captive during a raid, served Naaman's wife. When she heard of Naaman's leprosy, she expressed hope that he could be healed by the prophet Elisha. Her simple yet profound faith and willingness to speak out led Naaman to seek healing from Elisha, ultimately resulting in his healing. Though a servant with no formal power, she used her position to deliver God's message.

Application in the Workplace: Just like the Israelite girl, believers in positions of service can influence and guide others toward healing and transformation by being bold in sharing God's truth.
