The Hospitable Heartნიმუში

YOUR RECEPTION DESK
Anyone standing behind a reception desk is expected to be reliable, warm, and welcoming. A good receptionist knows how to manage pressure, stay calm, and still put a smile on every visitor’s face. As children of God, we carry His image and represent His Kingdom everywhere we go. Our hearts are God’s reception desk — and we are called to be trustworthy and welcoming.
Genuine hospitality cannot flow from a heart empty of love. Only a heart saturated with the love of Christ can naturally extend that same love to others. You cannot give what you have not received. Just as a receptionist considers it a duty to listen to complaints, offer solutions when possible, and welcome visitors warmly despite personal challenges, so also is a child of God called to show up for others even in seasons of personal struggle.
God has intentionally planted us in different places as receptionists to the needy souls around us. No employer wants phone calls to go unanswered or visitors to meet an empty reception desk. In the same way, God does not want the cries of those around you — their need for compassion, counsel, encouragement, food, clothing, or shelter — to be ignored. Whatever you have, God first placed it in your hands. It should not be difficult to release a little when God intends to save so much in someone else’s life.
When God rings you again, will He find you faithfully standing at YOUR RECEPTION DESK?
