7 Habits of a Mature Discipleნიმუში

Habit 4: Mature Disciples Are Servants
Since we are all naturally selfish, we know only God could be the one to give us a servant heart. He teaches us to die to ourselves and put others first. How does this happen?
You see when we were forgiven, we come to realize Jesus became our servant. He took the just penalty for our sin upon himself. We did not ask him to do this, but “while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
In fact, we realize Jesus did not just forgive our past but made a covenant promise to forgive any and all present or future sins too. No judge on earth could ever offer this! It’s the most incredible offer ever made to a human being by any authority.
So now we are enjoined to “love others the way Christ loved us.” Only God’s grace can do this within us. Let’s invite his grace to fill us and serve others!
