The Mandate to Multiply.

DAY 2 OF 3

Multiplication as an Instruction

Every blessing from God comes with an instruction - including the blessing of multiplication. It is never without guidance or responsibility. Marriage is a blessing, but it carries instructions for love, faithfulness, and unity. Leadership is a blessing, but it demands humility and service. A career is a blessing, yet it calls for diligence and integrity. Even the gift of a child comes with instructions on how to nurture and raise them. Blessings, therefore, do not grant us unrestrained freedom—they come with divine order. In fact, the more blessed you are, the greater your responsibility to follow God’s instruction.

When God declared, “Be fruitful and multiply”, He wasn’t merely speaking words of encouragement but giving a command—a directive that shapes how we live and steward His blessings. Just like a loving parent who both blesses and instructs their children, God blesses us with promise but also provides direction to ensure that promise flourishes.

After creating man, God placed him in the Garden of Eden—a place of blessing—and immediately gave him an instruction: “And the Lord God commanded the man…” This reveals a powerful truth: every divine blessing thrives within the boundaries of obedience to God's instruction. The blessing speaks of what God gives; the instruction shows how it will be sustained.

About this Plan

The Mandate to Multiply.

The Multiply Plan is a three-day devotional exploring God’s original intent for humanity—to be fruitful and multiply (Genesis 1:28). It unveils multiplication as a blessing, an instruction, and a responsibility. As a blessing, it reminds us that what seems small can become abundant in God’s hands. An instruction, it teaches that every blessing carries divine direction for its fulfillment. A responsibility, it challenges us to faithfully steward what God entrusts to us through consistency and obedience. This guide calls believers to align with God’s blueprint—to grow, multiply, and reflect His glory in every sphere of life.
