Be Still and Know

DAY 4 OF 5

God Is Always Listening

God is always listening. He already knows what we are going to say, yet He still listens. Imagine someone telling you a story you already know, and you still sit quietly, letting them finish. That is how God treats every one of us. He listens patiently, with love and compassion.

When I think about that, it humbles me. God listens to billions of voices across time and still hears mine. That thought alone fills me with gratitude. He listens because He cares. He listens because He loves.

Psalm 116 says, “I love the Lord, for he heard my voice; he heard my cry for mercy. Because he turned his ear to me, I will call on him as long as I live.” Those words remind me that every prayer, even the smallest one, reaches His heart.

God’s willingness to listen is proof of His endless mercy. When we talk to Him, we can rest in the assurance that He hears us, understands us, and responds in His perfect time.
