Zerubbabelნიმუში

Start with the altar
Before any foundation was laid, before a single stone was moved into place, Zerubbabel and the people did something profoundly important – they built an altar. In the midst of fear, surrounded by opposition, they chose first to restore worship.
Isn’t that often the way it is with us? Before God rebuilds the outward ruins of our lives, He draws us back to the altar – back to surrender, to worship, to intimacy. Zerubbabel’s first act wasn’t construction – it was consecration. It was a declaration that God alone would be their focus, their foundation and their strength. When we feel overwhelmed by all that needs to be rebuilt – whether it’s relationships, health, dreams or purpose – God invites us to begin with Him. Worship is the altar where hope is rekindled, where perspective is restored, and where strength is renewed. It reminds us that restoration starts in the heart.
Even though fear surrounded them, the people didn’t wait for comfort, permission or approval – they built the altar anyway. And God met them there. His presence sanctified their work, empowered their hands, and set the stage for the miracles to come.
No matter what lies in ruins in your life, you can start fresh – on your knees. Build the altar first. Lay down your fears, your doubts and your burdens. Consecrate the work ahead to Him. Trust that as you worship, God will guide every step of the rebuilding process, and His plans will unfold beautifully, stone by stone, moment by moment.
