Extravagant Grace

Those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.

Romans 5:17, NASB

If you ask a child why they love Christmas so much, they are likely to squeal, “The presents!” Most people are like children when it comes to gifts. They can’t wait to see what’s inside.

God gives the best gifts. All His gifts are given to you by His grace.

God gives extravagantly because His grace is extravagant. You might think of grace by the acronym, G-R-A-C-E—“God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense". Grace is costly, and it’s made possible only by Christ’s death on the cross, but it’s freely poured out on you without measure. Grace is a gift—the free, unmerited favor of God. You can’t earn it. You don’t deserve it. But you must receive it.

Today, will you receive the extravagant gift of God’s grace? If so, then begin pulling off the ribbon. Open God’s Word and discover all the magnificent gifts of God’s grace bestowed freely on you.

Lord, thank You for giving me Your extravagant grace. Amen.
