Awestruck: 30 Days of Wonder in the Bibleნიმუში

When trouble strikes, our instinct is often to escape or to lean on our own strength. But the psalm we'll read today points us somewhere deeper:
God Himself is the refuge.
He doesn't just give strength. He is strength.
He doesn't just provide shelter. He is shelter.
The psalm paints a vivid picture: even if mountains crumble and seas roar, God remains an unshakable fortress.
This theme runs throughout Scripture:
- In Deuteronomy, He's called the "eternal dwelling place."
- In Proverbs, His name is a "strong tower."
- And Jesus echoed it when He said, "Come to Me and I will give you rest."
Sometimes we exhaust ourselves trying to find security in things that can be shaken. Our savings accounts, our relationships, our health, our plans. All good things, but none of them unshakeable.
Only God remains constant when everything else shifts beneath our feet.
No matter what surrounds you, God doesn't change. His very presence becomes the safe place you can run to. And every time you open your Bible, you're not only reading words of comfort—you're entering His refuge to receive His strength.
Reflect:
How does seeing God Himself as your refuge stir your awe of Him?
Tomorrow we'll witness a stunning moment in history—when God's Word started walking.
