His Word for Today: Book of Numbers 5:11-15
When others have committed sin toward us and we have experienced offense, should we condemn the person who offended us? The world teaches to get even by offending the other person back.
But this morning’s section of the Bible teaches us to focus on what we can change for our growth in response to an offense.
The Bible also teaches us to resist and withstand spiritual forces of evil. This means that we don’t always need to change our thinking or do something against evil, but simply resist from where we are. Jesus was on the cross, resisted and withstood the attack, and was raised by the Father experiencing victory. There are times when we can choose to simply resist an offense, although we may feel hurt emotionally on the inside, and continue the work He has called us to do - this is victory. If we choose to walk in this path of victory, we will soon recognize and feel that those offenses no longer have any power over us emotionally as well. The devil has fled. (Ref Ephesians 6:13, James 4:7)
Today, let us ask the Lord about areas where we have let the devil overtake us through offense. We can choose to resist those offenses and continue to walk the abundant life Christ died to give us. (Ref John 10:10) This is indeed a life of victory in Christ.
May the Lord continue to richly bless you!

About this Plan

Let us reflect on how good He is even in the wilderness (especially during this season of Thanksgiving in countries where this is celebrated) through reading the Book of Numbers. This 30-day Devotional Bible Plan will be a lead up to upcoming Bible Plans that will cover the remainder of the Book of Numbers. Enjoy!
