One Week in Prayer 10-Day Devotional on Building a Consistent Habit of Daily Prayerნიმუში

The Lord’s Call
Read
When I first completed the manuscript for One Week in Prayer, I thought it was done—ready for print. But on my way to a meeting one morning, the Lord clearly spoke to my heart: “It’s incomplete.”
Why? Because prayer, as powerful as it is, is fully effective only when we are in a right relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Without that foundation, we may have plans, goals, and even prayer routines—but lack the assurance of answered prayers and eternal life.
Jesus said in John 10:27–28:
"My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand."
I know this personally. Years ago, I was desperate and at the end of myself. But Jesus reached out to me. I had an encounter that completely redirected my life from destruction to hope. I rededicated my life to Him, and nothing has been the same since.
Reflect
You may have prayed faithfully this week, made a plan, and set goals for deeper fellowship with God. But the most important question remains: Do you belong to Him?
Jesus’ call is simple yet life-changing:
- Believe He is the Son of God who died for your sins
- Acknowledge your need for His forgiveness
- Follow Him as Lord and Saviour of your life
This is not about religion, but relationship. Heaven rejoices when one sinner turns back to God (Luke 15:7). And one day, we will all hear His voice—either saying “Well done, good and faithful servant” (Matthew 25:21) or “I never knew you.”
Respond – A Prayer of Salvation
If you would like to take this step today, pray sincerely:
Lord Jesus,
I thank You for the gift of life and for keeping me until now. I acknowledge that I am a sinner and repent of my sins. I believe You died for me and rose again. Today, I accept You as my Lord and Saviour. Give me the grace to live for You, follow You, and remain faithful until the end. Thank You for saving me. Amen.
If you prayed this prayer, heaven is rejoicing over you!
Action Step
- If you’ve just given your life to Christ – tell someone today. Find a Bible-believing church, get connected, and grow in your faith.
- If you already belong to Him – commit to praying for the salvation of others by name. Your prayers can help bring them into the Kingdom.
