The Gift of Grace

DAY 1 OF 5

A Grace to Receive

There is a “Gift of Grace” available to all of us. I repeat...all of us! It is free. And yet it is our choice to receive and utilize. It’s not something we can earn, achieve, or purchase. It’s a divine gift, flowing straight from the heart of our creator God…into our hearts. It connects us in relationship with our Maker…for a Divine purpose. The Bible reminds us, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith… it is the gift of God” (Ephesians 2:8 KJV).

This “Gift of Grace” is purely undeserved and unmerited FAVOR. It is His kindness toward us even when we might be living far from Him. This means grace is not a reward for good behavior; it’s a rescue for the lost. While we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8). He came to save us from ourselves and offer us a beautiful freeing relationship with Him.

It can be hard to understand the depth of this “Gift of Grace”. But grace changes everything. Instead of striving to earn God’s love, we rest in the truth that it is already ours.

This “Gift of Grace” includes our very lives along with our talents. It also includes our free choice to love and to forgive. There is no blame or shame in grace. It is only a gift wrapped in unconditional love.

Why is the truth of this gift so hard to believe and receive? When we grasp this truth, we’re free to reflect and offer His grace in every relationship, conversation, and action. This grace can empower our days to live and to love from a deeper supply.

Take time today to pause to thank God for His grace. Let gratitude fill your heart. Receive His loving kindness toward you so that you may overflow and offer that same kindness to others. Receive, give and live in grace!

About this Plan

The Gift of Grace

In a world marked by impatience, arguing, complaining, brokenness and chaos, where can we discover a life shaped by loving kindness? Is there a key that enables us to live in unity, love and true understanding? Can we learn to be patient with one another’s differences and extend compassion across our divides? In this plan, we will explore the GIFT OF GRACE – not only the grace we receive from God, but the grace we are called to give. Together, we’ll see how this divine gift transforms us, heals relationships, and reflects the very heart of Christ in our daily lives.
