Transformed by His Promises

DAY 29 OF 30

STAY UNMOVABLE AND TRUST YOUR EFFORTS HAVE ETERNAL VALUE

1 Corinthians 15:58 (NLT): "So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless."

Mindful Minute: This part of Paul’s letter to the Corinthians is his proclamation that Christ rose from the dead. He mentions the many who witnessed the event. Paul notes his own amazement that he saw Christ and is now called an apostle.

Paul explains how if we do not believe, we cannot hope for a future resurrection ourselves. Paul describes his personal unworthiness because, prior to meeting the resurrected Jesus in person, Paul persecuted many who believed in Jesus.

Paul understood the depth of love and forgiveness embodied in this act of sacrifice, and spent his life proclaiming this truth. He went on to write more than half the books of the New Testament. If Paul, a murderer of those who loved Jesus, can be forgiven and have this much impact on the world, surely God can use us to influence others in our lifetime through our own light.

Our self-sabotaging thoughts reduce our ability to influence others for Christ. The instruction to “work enthusiastically for the Lord” is applicable in our journey, as well as remembering “nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.”

Forgive yourself, be strong, and believe all of your gifts, hurts, and experiences will ultimately be used for His Glory.

Prayer: Father, I want to be steadfast, immovable, and see the picture of myself that you see. I want to know that my walk is not in vain. I want to be freed from the chains of this slavery and be your witness to true internal and external joy. Thank you, Jesus, for your sacrifice, so I can look forward to a life you can use for your glory. Amen.

About this Plan

Transformed by His Promises

Break free from destructive behaviors and be renewed by God’s promises—one prayer, one gratitude, one reflection at a time. Life’s struggles, temptations, and wounds can trap us in destructive patterns. But God’s promises bring hope, healing, and transformation. In Transformed by His Promises, spend 30 days renewing your mind through Scripture, prayer, and gratitude journaling. Each day: pray the Lord’s Prayer slowly and with intent, list 10 things you’re grateful for, and record any reflections from your reading. These spiritual practices help break old habits, replace fear with faith, and anchor your life in God’s truth.
