STAY PATIENT IN TROUBLE AND CONFIDENT IN GOD’S PLAN
Romans 12:12 (NLT): "Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble, and keep on praying."
Mindful Minute: As Christians, we can put our faith in Jesus and have a never-ending source of hope. Setting aside time each day for prayer and gratitude allows us to always be in His presence and know He has a better plan for us.
Science has repeatedly confirmed God’s Word in the area of gratitude. People who practice seeing the good in things with an attitude of solving problems with a positive rather than negative mindset have hope for something better. They access a part of the brain that processes empathy, compassion, and creativity. These are the powerful qualities that exist in the life of someone who trusts God and rejoices in a confident hope.
Whether we are a spectator or participant, life will always include a series of troubles and unsettling experiences alongside contentment and joy. When we have hope, we can be patient and endure.
When we have gratitude for all that is good and comes from God in this world, we can see opportunity in every situation. When we pray, we feel His presence and have confidence in His love. Let us have confident hope as we navigate this 30-day path and beyond.
Prayer: Father, I pray today for unwavering hope. I will walk this path knowing there is something better. I will believe this despite all the challenges and difficulties that may come my way. I will breathe and meditate on your Word and pray to develop the patience needed to see the gift of living life full of hope despite my circumstances. Thank you, Jesus. Amen.
