Praying T.A.C.O.S. – a Fresh Way to Talk With Godნიმუში

Day 4: Others
Prayer isn’t just about bringing our own needs to God—it’s also about standing in the gap for others.
Sometimes the most powerful prayers we pray are the ones we speak on behalf of someone else.
I think of Brandon, who shared his story through the 'You Are Loved' series. After years of addiction, trauma, and hopelessness, what helped him begin to heal wasn’t a sermon or a program—it was people. People who prayed for him when he couldn’t pray for himself. People who saw something in him that he couldn’t yet see. Their intercession helped create space for transformation.
Today, Brandon spends his life doing the same thing for others. He walks into dark places with light and offers prayer and support to people who feel forgotten. His story is proof that when we lift others up to God, it can change the course of a life.
Maybe there’s someone on your heart today. A friend walking through a divorce. A child struggling with anxiety. A neighbor facing loss. A prodigal who feels too far gone. They may not even know you're praying—but your prayers are powerful.
God invites us to intercede, to carry each other’s burdens, to speak life over broken places, and to believe for healing even when others can’t yet believe for themselves.
When we take time to pray for others, we reflect the heart of Jesus—the One who ever lives to intercede for us.
Reflection:
Who has God placed on your heart to pray for today? What would it look like to lift up their name, their needs, and their future to the Lord, even before they ask?
Prayer:
Jesus, thank You for the people who prayed for me when I didn’t know how to pray for myself. Today, I lift up the people You’ve placed on my heart. Meet them in their need. Surround them with peace. Draw them closer to You. Use me to love, encourage, and intercede with compassion. Let my prayers become part of their breakthrough. Amen.
