Praying T.A.C.O.S. – a Fresh Way to Talk With Godნიმუში

Day 2: Adoration
Adoration is about worshiping God for who He is, not just for what He can do. It’s a posture of the heart that says, “God, You are holy. You are good. You are worthy, no matter what my life looks like today.”
Carlos’ story reminds me of this kind of worship. He had made a mess of things. Facing eleven years in prison, surrounded by regret and shame, he thought his life was over. Something changed when he stopped trying to fix everything and started focusing on who God was. In that dark cell, Carlos began lifting his eyes off himself and onto the One who never stopped loving him.
He didn’t start by asking for things. He started by surrendering. By acknowledging God’s greatness. That was the moment his healing began.
When we adore God, we are not reminding Him of who He is; we are reminding ourselves. We are setting our eyes higher. Above the anxiety. Above the chaos. Above our need for answers.
Adoration isn’t about having all the right words. It’s about recognizing God’s presence and responding with reverence and awe. Sometimes it sounds like a song. Sometimes it’s a whispered “You are good” when everything feels uncertain. Either way, it draws us near to the heart of God.
Reflection:
Take a moment to quiet your heart. Think about who God is—His power, His mercy, His love. What attribute of God do you need to focus on today?
Prayer:
God, You are worthy of my worship. You are holy and good. Help me lift my eyes off my problems and onto Your greatness. Teach me to adore You, not just with my words, but with my life. Amen.
