Daily Prayers for My Childrenნიმუში

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you,
before you were born I set you apart;
I appointed you as a prophet to the nations" (Jeremiah 1:5, NIV).

Dear Lord,

I thank You that You already knew and had plans for my child(ren)'s life before they were formed in the womb. Thank You for setting them apart. Thank you for the divine appointment that is on their life. I may not even know what their purpose is yet, but God I pray that You would make it known to my child(ren). Stir up the gifts that are on the inside of my child(ren) and encourage their hearts to know that they are here for a reason. Protect them from the wiles of the enemy that come to kill, steal, destroy and confuse. I cover their minds with the blood of Jesus and declare that they are child(ren) of destiny! Light their pathways, God. Do it for your glory!

Challenge: Now pause for a moment. This scripture applies to you too, my friend. Be encouraged. Know that God chose you to be the parent your child needs. He has appointed you. Forgive yourself for past mistakes as a parent and ask God to help you focus on nurturing your child(ren) the way that he/she needs.
