Through the Bible: Actsნიმუში

The Berean Jews Were of More Noble Character
Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true. As a result, many of them believed, as did also a number of prominent Greek women and many Greek men.
Acts 17:11-12 (NIV)
God gives us a warning in Hebrews 2:3: "how will we escape if we neglect so great a salvation?" To neglect is to be careless about our relationship with God and ignore the guidance of the Holy Spirit. If we neglect to read the Scriptures diligently, how would we know when there is false teaching or wrong doctrine?
The Berean Jews were commended for their noble character in their eagerness to seek for the truth daily. Their reward is faith and belief. We must pay attention and apply what God says to us in His Son through the scriptures.
Prayer
Abba Father, may we diligently seek You. For Your word is alive and active, sharper than any double-edged sword. It penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; and judges our thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Your word protects us and leads us in your paths of righteousness. In Jesus’ most precious name, Amen.
About this Plan

This book answers the question; ‘What’s next after believing in Jesus?’ Continuing the Gospel of Luke, Acts narrates the birth and development of the early church, and how the Holy Spirit empowered the disciples to spread the Gospel. Although it ends abruptly with Paul’s imprisonment in Rome, it leaves room for readers to extend the chapters, by following the footsteps of the early church with our remaining time on earth.
