In this life, we will experience adversity. Being Christians does not exclude us from hard times. And when trouble comes your way, I encourage you to stick close to God, your savior!

We need to be close to Him. By sticking close to God, it’s not only good for us to do so, but when we are close to Him, He will show up, and we will notice it sooner. 

When you are in trouble, do you feel close to God? Trust in Him, and He will draw nearer to you. I encourage you to know that when difficulty abounds, you are never alone. God is there with you. 

Let’s see what the prophet Nahum had to say regarding taking refuge in God in our days of trouble.

“The Lord is good, a Strength and Stronghold in the day of trouble; He knows (recognizes, has knowledge of, and understands) those who take refuge and trust in Him.” Nahum 1:7 (AMP)

What reassurance we’ve received! God knows me as I take refuge and trust in Him! The Lord is good, and He will be our strength and our stronghold in our days of trouble. If you are yet to place your trust in Christ, I urge you to do so. God is for you!
