E dopo aver tenuto consiglio con il popolo, stabilí dei cantori che, vestiti dei paramenti sacri, cantassero le lodi del Signore e, camminando alla testa dell'esercito, dicessero: «Celebrate il Signore, perché la sua bontà dura in eterno!» Appena cominciarono i canti di gioia e di lode, il Signore tese un'imboscata contro i figli di Ammon e di Moab e contro quelli del monte Seir che erano venuti contro Giuda; e rimasero sconfitti.
