Come, Follow Me: A 30 Day Journey With Jesus

DAY 14 OF 30

Jesus has predicted his death, and shared many parables and teachings with the disciples. There is still a lot of misunderstanding and confusion as to the full meaning of Jesus' words.

Jesus decides to take a small group aside and takes Peter, James and John up a mountain. There, in a blaze of glory, Jesus is transfigured and is seen having a discussion with two of the ancient fathers. The disciples are terrified and Peter, babbling the first thing that comes to mind, suggests building a shelter. It is beyond the disciple’s comprehension. Coming down the mountain Jesus tells the disciples to keep it to themselves until he has risen from the dead. This adds to the disciples’ questions – what does Jesus mean by rising from the dead?

Based on your reading today, how is God calling you to Follow Him? Consider any attitudes to adopt, actions to include, or responses to offer.
