Have you ever felt misunderstood? Forgotten? Unseen?
Imagine being taken from your home to serve foreigners in a distant land, never to return. You do what’s asked of you, follow instructions, and still end up mistreated. These were Hagar’s circumstances.
One day, she ran. Alone, scared, and pregnant. And then…she encounters the angel of the Lord.
A God she had only heard others speak of suddenly becomes real. And personal.
He sees her.
That’s one of the most beautiful truths about God. He sees us in our mess. He sees our pain, our circumstances, and still loves us. Deeply.
And not only that, He still wants to be in relationship with us.
God had a message for Hagar, and He continues to speak to us today.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You that You see us. Father, when we want to run away from our circumstances, help us run to You. Thank You for Your Word. Please help us read it, understand it, and be encouraged by it. Amen.
