Prioritizing Kingdom Impact

Time is one of the most precious resources we've been given. As kingdom business leaders, it's vital to steward our time wisely in alignment with God's purpose for our lives and work. The quote, "There's no 'I don’t have time,'" challenges us to evaluate how we prioritize our activities. It's a reminder that our schedules mirror our true priorities.

In Ephesians 5:15-16 (NIV), Paul advises:

"Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil."

This passage encourages us to intentionally focus on what truly matters and to seize every moment for the kingdom's sake.

Reflection:

Ask yourself: What is the most profitable thing you can be doing at this very moment, not just in financial terms but in kingdom value? Identify tasks or commitments that may need to be set aside in favor of those that align more closely with God's purpose for you.

Consider the biblical example of Nehemiah, who, despite numerous distractions, stayed focused on rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem. He recognized that his task was divinely appointed and refused to be deterred (Nehemiah 6:3).

Application:

1. Prayer for Guidance: Begin each day in prayer, asking God to direct your steps and help you prioritize tasks that will have the greatest kingdom impact.

2. Evaluate and Eliminate: Examine your to-do list. Are there activities that consume your time but offer little return in terms of God's work or your personal calling? Consider eliminating or delegating these.

3. Focus on Impact: Redirect your energy toward endeavors that nurture your soul, grow your team, and advance the kingdom. This could mean mentoring a colleague, volunteering your skills for a community project, or spending time with family in meaningful ways.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, grant me the wisdom to manage my time according to Your will. Help me discern what is truly important and to prioritize it in my daily life. May everything I do bring glory to Your name and bear fruit for Your kingdom. In Jesus' name, Amen.
