Day 18: Internal Wildfires that Hinder Restoration
Devotional
Sometimes the greatest conflicts we face aren't external but burn quietly within us—internal wildfires of pain, bitterness, unmet expectations, or past injustice. These hidden wounds, though often invisible to others, shape how we view people, make decisions, and handle conflict. When we give these fires permission to continue, they keep us from seeking God's peace, distort justice, and divide us from others. But God’s power offers healing. When we bring our internal wildfires to His presence—the Peacefire—He can extinguish them and lead us toward restoration.
Reflection Question:
What internal fires are still burning in you, and how might God’s power begin to extinguish them today?
Prayer:
Lord, I confess the pain and bitterness I’ve held onto. Show me what fires burn within and help me surrender them to You. Replace my anger with Your peace, and help me treat others the way You have treated me—with grace and mercy. Amen.
