RETURN to ME: Reading With the People of God #16Sýnishorn

Love That Won’t Let Go
In Hosea 11–12, we hear the tender voice of a Father who taught His children to walk, who bent down to feed them, and who loved them even as they turned away. God’s heart is not cold in response—He is moved with compassion. “How can I give you up, O Ephraim?” He asks (Hosea 11:8 ESV). This is love that refuses to let go.
In Mark 5, Jesus meets a man completely overtaken by darkness, isolated and tormented. Yet not even a legion of demons can stop Jesus’ mercy. He restores the man fully—then sends him home to tell what the Lord has done.
Today, be reminded: there is no brokenness too deep, no wandering too far, no storm too strong to keep God’s love from reaching you. His love pursues, restores, and sends us out with a story to tell.
Is there a place in your life where you’ve given up, but God hasn’t?
Who might need to hear your story of God’s mercy today?
Return to the One who never left. Let His love meet you again—and let it move you to share that love with someone else.

About this Plan

This 16th installment of our Reading with the People of God plan invites you into the voices of the Minor Prophets—Hosea through Nahum—calling God’s people to return with sincerity and trust. Paired with the Gospel of Mark, we’ll hear Christ’s invitation to repentance and renewed faith. Each day includes readings from Psalms, the Old Testament, and the New Testament, with a brief devotional primer. May these readings draw you nearer to the Lord, awaken your heart to His mercy, and echo His faithful call: “Return to Me.”
