The Three-Day Social Media Reset by Allie Marie SmithSýnishorn

Closing Thoughts
A lot is at stake regarding our use of social media. Comparison, distraction, and endless scrolling cost us something. Ultimately, it can be a life well lived, the life God created us for. One of the greatest regrets many may have at the end of their lives is how much time they spent on their phones. When you take your final breath, you must provide an account of how you stewarded every sacred day God gave you. What will it take for you to get to the end of your life and say that you did all you could with the time God gave you?
Remember that your worth will never be determined by the number of likes, shares, or followers you collect. Your best life will never be found on your phone. You have been created for a life of joy, purpose, connection, and greatness that this world and social media can keep you from.
As you reenter the digital world, do so with intentionality and wisdom. Only you can decide what effect social media and technology will have on your life and well-being. You don’t have to return to the unhealthy relationship with social media that you may have experienced before this short reset, and you don’t have to feel stuck endlessly scrolling through others’ lives. You don’t have to feel anxious, depressed, distracted, or not good enough because of social media. You can walk away from it entirely or set boundaries that allow you to use it intentionally.
I hope this short reset has helped you realize how much agency you have over your life and how you spend your time. By stepping away from the distractions of social media, I hope you feel renewed and able to experience the love and peace of God more profoundly. God loves you more than you can imagine and wants to see you live your life to the fullest for His glory and without regrets. As you walk in His ways, you will experience the peace and joy the world can never provide. Live with wisdom, keep company with God, glorify Him with your life, and when you breathe your final breath, you will have done all you could do with the time He gave you.
