REFORM OUR FAITH, LORD!

Matthew 8 gives us the blueprint for faith. The infrastructure of faith is built on 3 things: believing Jesus is Lord, submitting to His authority, and trusting in His plans. Jesus is the Ultimate and Highest Authority, and you must choose to submit to Him. Isaiah 55:9 declares, “For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.” Any area where you are trusting in your thoughts, plans, abilities, or strengths needs reformation. Reforming your faith looks like 100% dependency on the Lord in every area of your life. Faith is taking things you hope for, like your plans, desires, and future, and placing them confidently under the Lord’s care. “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope” (Jeremiah 29:11 ESV). God’s blueprints for your future can be trusted!

True reformation is when the heart of the Father moves your heart to change. You can ask Him for His heart, plan, and design for everything in your life. Once you receive the blueprints of Heaven, choose to walk by faith. Reformation will build your faith! ”Without faith it is impossible to please God” (Hebrews 11:6).

PRAYER

Lord, I ask for you to reform any crooked ways within me. I seek your heart and mind in all things. I pray less of me, more of you. I want to be zealous for your discipline. Show me what pleases you. Give me a teachable heart of repentance. I want to be set apart for You, for Your glory. I love you. Amen.

APPLICATION

• Reflect on the plans in your life and think about a specific plan:
• Did you ask the Lord if they are His plans?
• Have you been disappointed with any plans that didn’t go the way you thought they would?
• Take your plans to the Lord and ask Him for His blueprints over the situation.
