DAY 2 OF 14

Living Sacrifice and Transformation

As you prepare for your mission, reflect on the call to offer your life fully to God, not just during this Trek but in every moment of your life. Paul encourages believers to present themselves as a living sacrifice, meaning your whole being—body, actions, and words—are offered to God as an ongoing act of worship. Unlike the sacrifices of old that were offered once and then gone, your sacrifice is alive, continuously pleasing to God as you serve.

This means every interaction you have, every task you undertake on this journey, is an opportunity to glorify God by freely giving yourself. God’s mercy empowers you to serve wholeheartedly, even when it’s challenging or uncomfortable.

You are also called to be transformed, not just in behaviour but in how you think. This transformation is a deep, ongoing renewal of the mind that sets you apart from the world’s patterns and values. It’s not a surface-level change but a complete metamorphosis, like the transformation Jesus experienced in His transfiguration. As you prepare, spend time with God, letting His presence shape your thoughts and attitudes. The more you focus on Him, the more you will reflect His character.

This renewal of your mind helps you see others with God’s heart and respond with compassion, wisdom, and humility. The Holy Spirit will guide you to understand the needs, hopes, and struggles of the people you serve, allowing God’s love to flow through you in practical ways.

Importantly, this journey is not just about what you can do but about discovering and partnering with God’s will—His good, pleasing, and perfect plan. You are part of a bigger story where Heaven meets earth, and God’s purposes unfold, often beyond what you can see or control.

Challenges and uncertainties are part of this mission, but God’s presence is constant. Trust in His wisdom and timing, and be patient as you discern His leading. Your faithfulness, even in small acts, contributes to God’s eternal work.

Let the idea of living sacrifice and transformation guide your preparation. Commit to serving with a humble heart, open to being changed by God’s grace, and attentive to His voice. Begin to pray now for His guidance, strength, and the willingness to be fully used for His purposes.
